Tanvi Sankolli

Tanvi Sankolli, a dedicated and passionate dance instructor with a rich background in Bharatanatyam. Tanvi began her dance journey at the tender age of seven in Bangalore, where she trained under the esteemed Guru Smth. Preetha Arun. Her commitment to mastering the classical art form continued when she relocated to Austin, where she has been a devoted student at Natyalaya for the past eight years, honing her skills under the tutelage of Guru Smt. Gayathri Iyer.

Tanvi's passion for Bharatanatyam has only deepened over the years, fueled by her training with other notable gurus such as Guru Vinitha Subramanian, Guru Laavanya Ananth, and Guru Suma Krishnamurthy. Her extensive experience includes participating in numerous Natyalaya productions like Ganga, Sangeet Devatha, and Agastya, showcasing her versatility and dedication to the craft. In 2020, she proudly completed her Kalarchana Margam presentation, marking a significant milestone in her dance career.

Beyond her impressive accomplishments in Bharatanatyam, Tanvi is a well-rounded individual with a variety of talents and achievements. She holds a Black Belt in Krav Maga Martial Arts, demonstrating her discipline and strength. As the Executive Producer of her school news Broadcast Team, she showcases her leadership and organizational skills. Tanvi is also an active participant in cultural events across Austin and has been a member of her School Dance team, where she has learned and performed various dance forms including Ballet, Jazz, and Hip-Hop.

Currently serving as teacher at Natyalaya, Tanvi is committed to sharing her love for dance with younger students. She aspires to continue her journey in dance, both as an instructor and a performer, contributing to the vibrant cultural landscape and inspiring the next generation of dancers.
